Christine's Story: Choosing Our Wedding Favors

Written by . Posted in Christine's Story

Wedding favors are an easy and simple way to show gratitude for your guests. After all they do to be there for you, you want to show them that you care and that you are thankful. When it came to favors we wanted to stay away from chocolates, which are traditionally used as wedding favors. We wanted to have something that people would not only like but that they would keep.

I started with my bridal shower. Because my theme is Breakfast at Tiffany's, I thought the most appropriate favors would be pearl necklaces. On my invitation I am asking everyone to wear their favorite black dress and pearls like Holly did in the movie. I found the cutest Tiffany colored boxes to share with my guests.

Since our wedding ceremony is going to be outdoors in July, we decided to have paper parasols and silk fans so people can cool themselves in the summer sun. After the ceremony, the guests can take home a fan and an umbrella. We also have favors for our reception since not everyone can make it to the ceremony. We decided on miniature liquor bottles with a thank you note attached. My favorite bottle is Pravda. Thanks to Mission Liquor, I was able to find them in bulk.
