Now that the wedding bliss has passed, I want to share a little bit about my wedding planning journey and my experiences as a Harsanik Bride's Story Winner. Some girls spend their entire childhood dreaming about their wedding and what it would be like. This was not the case for me. When Victor proposed, it was like the world stopped for a minute. As soon as the news spread to our friends and family, the immediate question was "So when's the big day?!" That's when I realized we needed to start planning our wedding.

It's hard to believe that it's been six months since our wedding! It feels like just yesterday, I received an e-mail from Harsanik.com that I had won their contest to feature our wedding and blog about my wedding planning experience. I can't tell you all how lucky I feel to have been chosen to do this. So for my last blog, I wanted to take a minute to thank some people and give last minute advice.

Years before I even started planning our wedding, I was introduced to Pinterest. As I started my Pinterest search, the first images I came across were about a unique idea called "Trash the Dress" photography, where after the wedding, the bride and groom essentially "trash" their outfits to get some incredible photos. You may recall from our previous blog about planning our honeymoon, that Serj and I decided to travel to South Africa. One of the best decisions we made was planning our trip three months after the wedding. For us, it was like the last little bit before we had to say bye to our wedding planning and adventure. So with both of us scared of flying, we took what felt like the longest flight to London. I had been to London previously, but Serj had not, so we decided to stay there for three days. From there, we flew to Johannesburg and connected to Cape Town, South Africa.
After our wedding, one of the reasons we kept bugging our photographer, Lark Wedding Photography, for our pictures was to be able to choose the right one in preparing our Thank You cards for our guests. But in reality, it's so much more than just choosing a picture. For us, there are three different kinds of Thank You cards we will be sending. The majority will be to the guests who came to the wedding, those who couldn't make it to the wedding but sent a gift, and lastly, some additional cards will be ordered to send to our vendors.
Sticking to tradition, the day after our wedding, we left for our honeymoon. We spent 8 incredible days in Tulum, Mexico. Before we booked our honeymoon, I had never heard of Tulum and I must say it is a hidden gem! I didn't know that crystal clear water like that existed.
July 3, 2016 was the best day I could have ever imagined. Our wedding day was a complete dream and was so much more fun than I could have ever expected it to be...
Congratulations Talar and Serj! You did it! The couple tied the knot on May 29, 2016 with a beautiful ceremony ay St. Gregory Armenian Church followed by a stunning reception at Metropol Banquet Hall.
