We recently came across some amazing photos by Jay Jay Productions and we were excited to share it with our users. Jay Jay Productions recently shot a "Trash the Dress" session in Armenia! For those of you not familiar with "Trash the Dress" sessions, it's a photo shoot after the wedding where the bride wears her wedding dress and takes photos in locations where she is destroying her dress.
We had a chance to catch up with Jay Jay himself and ask him a few questions about this photo shoot.
Q: What was your favorite part of doing a photo shoot in Armenia?
My favorite part of the Trash the Dress session in Armenia was feeling connected to every location. Every photo I took has a history in it. Just being there and doing what I love to do was priceless.
Q: What was the most difficult part of this shoot?
There really was no difficulty during our shoot.
Q: What tips do you have for brides about "Trash the Dress" sessions?
I love shooting Trash the Dress sessions since it gives you more freedom with your couples. There is no worries about the dress getting dirty or being late to church, or just the overall stress of the wedding day. It gives me creative freedom. If you are planning on doing a Trash the Dress, make sure its about the two of you. The location should mean something special so that it connects you with the images. Do not worry about the dress, you are never, never, never gonna wear it again, unless you have a friend that you don't really like, then you can show up to their wedding with your dress! ;) You just have to let it go and work with your photographer's ideas.
Congrats to the happy couple in Armenia and thank you Jay Jay Productions for sharing your work and thoughts with us! For more photos from this Trash The Dress session, check out the Jay Jay' Studios blog.
