Talar's Story: Tea Party!
In place of a bridal shower, I decided I wanted to have a tea/hat party with my closest friends and family for some brunch and cocktails. After looking at several locations, I decided on the adorable little restaurant called Favorite Place in Glendale, which by coincidence has mint green walls, one of the colors of my wedding! The staff at Favorite Place Restaurant was so accommodating and their prices were unbeatable! I can't remember hearing a "no" to any one of my questions. They didn't even have a cake cutting or corking fee!
I know I was supposed to leave the planning to my mom but in all honesty, the event planner in me just couldn't hold back. So I contacted Roobina's Cake, my wedding cake baker, and asked them to make me a tea party cake. I used Etsy for my invitations and the stationary for the event. My mom and I went shopping for centerpieces which we decided to make ourselves. The rest I left for my maid of honor and bridesmaids to handle (well, kind of...).
I wanted my event to be unique so I chose bridal games and activities which were personal to me and my friends and family. At my tea party, we will have advice cards and a couple of games including "how old was the bride?", "how many kisses in the jar?" and also cards for my guests to complete with their most favorite memory with me! (I'm a little worried to read some of those!)
Last but not least, I asked all my guests to wear their most prettiest hat to add a little theme to my tea time brunch! I can't wait to share pictures of it with you all!
P.S. Can't believe our wedding is next month!
xoxo,
