Talar's Story: My Wedding Dress

Written by . Posted in Talar's Story

Had I written this blog three months ago, I would have said that choosing a dress was truly the hardest part, but now I can say it was the most exciting. Every girl dreams of putting on the big white dress and mine was no different. After looking all over for the perfect dress, I found a picture of an Essence of Australia ball gown to try on. I visited Panache Bridal in Pasadena and tried on the gown. It was pretty, but definitely not “the one”. How did I know? I looked at my mom and she didn’t have tears in her eyes.

So I kept looking, and looking, and looking. I was scrolling through the Instagram page of Karoza Design and just as I was about to click away, the most beautiful Maggie Sottero dress hit my eye. So without telling anyone, I immediately made an appointment at Karoza and tried on the dress. It was then that I could picture myself walking down the aisle in it.

I called my mom, picked her up and drove right back, tried on the dress and she loved it. She even had tears in her eyes… and as soon as the veil came on…. waterworks! It was perfect! Approximately two weeks later, I went to Karoza again with my mom, my sister-in-law, who will also be my maid of honor, and Serj’s mom. Everyone loved the beautiful mermaid dress. This one you’ll have to wait to see!
