The words have been tied and it all feels so official! You must be thinking I've officially lost my mind! Well I have. Work, school, and wedding planning is exhausting, but that's a topic for another blog. So back to the original topic of this post, my Khosk-Kap! After getting engaged, I became extremely interested in our Armenian wedding traditions. When I read about a Khosk-Kap, which literally means "the words have been tied," I knew I wanted to have one! Essentially a Khosk-Kap was when the groom's parents and bride's parents would sit and arrange their children's marriage. Now that arranged marriages aren't very common, it has become more of a celebration of love and a good opportunity for both families to officially meet. With that said, here's the story of our Khosk-Kap...
Have you ever been to an Armenian Indian wedding? We were blown away when we came across Mary and Anil's recent stunning wedding (or we should say weddings) captured by Jay Jay Productions. Coming from two diverse and rich cultures, Mary and Anil held 2 separate celebrations to honor both Indian and Armenian traditions. We interviewed the couple and we've got all the details! First, we will share the couple's love story and their beautiful Indian wedding on July 30th, 2017:
On July 1, 2017, Gaspar Avdolyan and Lola Osmanova got married at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, CA. While all weddings are memorable, this one became unforgettable for many factors, one mainly being the price tag. Rumored to be a $10 million dollar wedding, photos and videos of this extravagant wedding went viral. What stood out for us was that this was an Armenian wedding, and the couple incorporated Armenian traditions into their wedding. And so our team reached out to some of our contacts to bring you an inside look into Gaspar and Lola’s wedding.
First, meet Gaspar and Lola. Gaspar Avdolyan is the son of successful Armenian telecommunication businessman Albert Avdolyan. His wife, Lola Osmanova, is the daughter of Russian energy tycoon Eldar Osmanova. Gaspar is 100% Armenian, and Lola is half Armenian. The couple spends a majority of their time in Moscow and travels internationally very frequently.
Emy and Melan recently did an engagement photoshoot with Evan Photography in the beautiful and historic Sofia, Bulgaria. The couple currently lives in Bulgaria and met while working together in the fashion industry. With that in mind, Emy and Melan chose fashion as the inspiration and theme for their engagement photos. Here are the photos from their stunning photo shoot:

Over the last month, we've gone behind the scenes and followed Shant as he designed a custom suit from JB Clothiers. We shared with you Shant's first fitting experience at JB Clothiers and soon the time came for Shant to pick up his final suit. We're excited to share photos of Shant's stylish custom suit and the personalized details. We also chatted with Shant to get his thoughts on the experience of getting a custom suit and why every man should invest in a custom suit.
As you start searching for your dream bridal veil, you visualize the perfect length and style to match your wedding gown. If you, like many other brides, choose to purchase your veil separately from your gown, you may realize that matching the right fabric, color, length, and style is not as easy as you thought... Keeping this in mind, when we learned about Zveil's Try-At-Home Program, we could not wait to share with you all. We spoke with CEO and co-founder of Zveil, Arsineh Ghazarian, to get all the details on their veils and their most popular products. Plus Zveil has partnered with Harsanik to offer an exclusive 10% discount to help you find your perfect veil - just use the promo code HARSANIK10 at checkout to take advantage of this special deal.

We recently had the opportunity to experience the process of custom suit fitting and received two bespoke suits by JB Clothiers and were truly impressed by the entire experience. Foremost, after this experience, it's fair to say that every man deserves a bespoke suit! Our two partakers, Garen and Shant, went through the entire process from the initial meeting, first and second fitting, to wearing their custom suits and we're excited to share their experience and thoughts in 2 separate blogs.
